Morgan, an award winning writer and teacher runs Write Your Way with Morgan Zoom Creative Nonfiction workshops. Writers come from Cambodia to California to generate new work or focus on an essay or section of memoir in a safe and supportive space. Writers and readers are encouraged to view this space as their own, where they can write without judgment. Writers can experiment with form and structure with any topic. We focus on what works and where we have questions. Workshops are designed for a maximum of six writers. In a 6-week workshop writers present their work 3 times for $400; in the 8-week workshop writers present 4 times for $500. At the end of each workshop, a guest author visits.
Morgan has taught at Emerson College for more than 30 years; she is the managing editor of thebucket.com; she writes essays and feature stories, and is working on a memoir (or two). She has an MA (cum laude) in Professional Writing and Publishing from Emerson College and BA from Vassar College. She has participated in numerous workshops and retreats both virtual and in-person.

"Morgan's workshops have really elevated my writing. She creates an intimate and non-judgmental space that offers the perfect balance of creative freedom and concrete guidance. I left every workshop feeling inspired and with a better understanding of my strengths and areas of growth as a writer. Morgan is a supportive facilitator, who understands the art of writing. Her feedback is spot on and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in multiple workshops. I even got a piece written for her class published in a book. I am so grateful for Morgan's expertise and recommend her workshops to anyone interested in becoming a better storyteller." -Aja
“I participated in two of Morgan's workshops and I have done some of my best writing in them. Morgan has a keen eye for prose and an ability to gently critique and encourage at the same time. The workshop structure allows for a lot of valuable give and take within a small group of interesting, committed writers. Morgan manages the sessions well to make sure everyone gets ample feedback. I found the weeks in her classes were my most productive in recent years.”- Michele
“I first met Morgan while studying Creative Nonfiction at Emerson College, where she was a standout professor of mine. Eleven years later, I’ve found myself back in her company via Zoom, where she leads a nonfiction writing workshop. This is my second post-grad workshop with Morgan and it will not be my last. Her feedback is integral to my own journey writing a memoir; she is a thoughtful, supportive, and precise editor. If you get the chance to work with her, take it. You—and your writing—will be glad you did.” - Jacquelin
